Teen Mitchell Begg facing charges for school shooting threat
Mitchell John Begg, 17, was arrested Friday for threatening a shooting at North Paulding High School.

Paulding County Officials say a North Paulding High School student was arrested Friday after allegedly threatening a shooting at the school.

Mitchell John Begg made the threat in a Twitter post, according to County sheriff's officials.

Begg, 17, was arrested and charged with three counts of making terroristic threats.

School administrators leaed of the alleged threat Friday moing and alerted the sheriff’s office, Principal Mark Crowe said in a letter to parents. Classes continued at the school Friday during the investigation.

”An arrest was made due to the nature of the threat, but investigators found no weapons on campus, Crowe wrote.

Begg, a resident of Dallas, Ga., is being held at the Paulding County Jail.
