Teen Alexandra Covett Charged With Killing Best Friend In Ice-Related Crash

MARIETTA, Ga. - Charges have been filed against the teenage driver accused in a fatal crash in Marietta.

Alexandra Covett -- 17-years old -- is charged with vehicular homicide in the second degree and failure to maintain a lane.

The crash occurred January 14th on Stilesboro Road. Police say Covett lost control on the ice and slammed into another vehicle.

Kari Jobling, 18-years old, was killed. A third person suffered minor injuries in that accident.
