Tech CEO Albert Demagnus stabbed to death, suspects arrested
Two people are in custody after a Fayette County man was brutally stabbed to death during a home invasion early Friday morning.
According to Fayette County Sheriff Barry Babb, deputies responded to a call at a residence on Lake Horton Landing Drive around 2:30 a.m. When they arrived, they found the victim, identified as 74-year-old Albert Eugene DeMagnus with an apparent stab wound.
He was transported to Piedmont Fayette Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
According to the incident report, the victim's wife told investigators that three people broke into the house demanding money and jewelry, then stole the victim’s gray Lexus and leaving the scene.
Deputies spotted the Lexus near the scene of the home invasion, Babb said. The chase reached speeds of 130 mph before the suspects crashed the car in the area of Jimmie Mayfield Boulevard and Bradley Drive and two men ran, he said. Deputies and Fayetteville police officers located both men.
Jeffrey Lee Wallace, 22, of Atlanta, and Kavion Wyzeenski Tookes, 21, of Decatur were both arrested, they are currently being held without bond on a murder charge according to the Fayette County jail.
'We believe the third person left the area in another vehicle,' Babb said
DeMagnus was the CEO of Computer Management Services, Inc., according to the Georgia Secretary of State's Office.
