Stripping Teacher Raymond D. Taylor Banned From Kennesaw State University
KENNESAW, Ga. - An accounting instructor at Kennesaw State University is accused of taking off his clothes and exposing himself to students he was teaching, according to a criminal warrant obtained by GA Daily News.
Raymond D. Taylor, of Kennesaw, got completely nude, the warrant stated. The alleged incident happened last Tuesday in the final accounting class that he taught for the fall semester, school officials said.
On Wednesday, the school issued a news release, saying that the professor was banned from the school.
Taylor, 57, was arrested and charged with public indecency and taken to the Cobb County Jail.
He was released from jail on $5,000 bond.
A representative for KSU said Interim Provost W. Ken Harmon is encouraging students who would like to report or talk about the incident to take advantage of university resources.
”Kennesaw State fosters an environment where students are encouraged to report inappropriate and unethical behavior, Harmon stated. ”Counselors in the Office of Counseling and Psychological Services are available to students who would like to address this matter," said Harmon.
GA Daily News reporter Eric Philips went to Taylor's home to get his side of the story. Taylor told Philips that "what happened is between him and his students," adding that he preferred not to talk about it.
According to a statement from KSU, school officials have terminated Taylor’s affiliation with the university, effective immediately. He will not retu to his part-time teaching post, nor have any access whatsoever to the campus, the statement said.
