Atlanta police have stepped in to help travelers stranded at a Greyhound bus station. Authorities say bad weather kept passengers inside Monday, January 10, and several people reported not having food.

Authorities say bad weather kept passengers inside Monday and several people reported not having food.

The city jail provided meals for the stranded travelers. Blankets and bottles of water were also handed out.

Police personnel provided breakfast for the stranded travelers Tuesday moing as well.

Greyhound announced Tuesday that bus service for Tuesday has been canceled due to the icy conditions.
