Statesboro police charge Bryan Bassfield with wife's murder

The Bulloch County Sheriff's Office has charged a Statesboro man with the murder of his wife.

Bryan Bassfield was arrested and charged with one count of felony murder, one count of aggravated assault, and one count of possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime after his wife was found dead Monday in Bulloch County.

Officials say Jessica Bassfield was found shot to death inside a home on the 500 block of U.S. 301 South in Statesboro. 

The case remains under investigation.
