ATLANTA - It's something all drivers are taught.

But too often rescuers say drivers aren't moving over when they see an emergency vehicle.

Now Georgia State Troopers are cracking down on drivers who don't give rescuers room.

According to the Move Over law, anytime you see an emergency vehicle on the side of the road, you're supposed to move over one lane.

If you don't, you face a fine of up to $500.

Troopers say the law is meant to keep emergency workers safe.

The crackdown continues through Friday.

The Georgia State Patrol is doing it in conjunction with Florida, Alabama, Tennessee and South Carolina.
