Six hurt in Newton Co. crash involving school bus

Newton County school officials confirm six people were injured in a crash involving a school bus on Monday moing, and four of them are children. 

The crash happened on Highway 212 in front of Oak Hill Elementary School in Covington as the driver of one of the cars involved was dropping off a child at the school.  

A spokesperson confirmed that drivers of two different cars were taken to a local hospital, as were one child who was a passenger in one of the cars, and three children who were onboard the school bus.  Their conditions were not immediately released.

All lanes of Hwy. 212 are blocked between Butler Bridge and Oak Hill roads as a result of the crash.
