Shooting Suspect Jesse Warren Claims Penske Stole From Him
MARIETTA, Ga. -- A former employee accused of killing three people at a Penske Truck Rental shop claimed in a videotaped interview with police that the firm stole $500 million from him.
Jesse James Warren claimed in the interview that the firm promised him the money for his work in a "top secret" military project. He also said that the claims were the reason he was fired from Penske.
The interview was played Thursday at a Cobb County Superior Court hearing. It came almost a year after police say he entered the facility and shot five people, killing three.
His defense attoey has said mental health experts will be used to present Warren's defense. Prosecutors have said they will seek the death penalty.
