Shooting Expert William Abbate Faces Molestation Charges
William “Billy” Abbate, 45, is accused of molesting a 15-year-old girl he was giving shooting lessons.

HENRY COUNTY, Ga. - A man who had dreams of starting a movie studio in the South is behind bars after being charged with child molestation.

William ”Billy Abbate, 45, is accused of molesting a 15-year-old girl he was giving shooting lessons.

According to authorities, Abbate, a professional shooter, traveled with the alleged victim and her shooting team to various states, where some of the alleged acts occurred.

The mother of the girl came forward last month with the allegations.

Henry County Police detectives allegedly recovered evidence after executing search warrants at Abbate’s home in Henry and a shooting range in Butts County.

Abbate faces charges of child molestation, aggravated child molestation, enticing a child for indecent purposes, sexual exploitation of children and statutory rape. Other charges could also be filed. He tued himself into Henry County Jail Thursday.

Abbate is well-known as President and COO of Quality Physician Services in Atlanta. He was also recently involved in an attempt to bring a movie studio to the Atlanta area. Additionally, Abbate is a world-class shooting expert.
