Search ensues for missing father, 3 children

Police are searching for a father and his three children who were reported missing on Sunday from a 29- foot sailboat.

The U.S. Coast Guard said that it started searching on Tuesday near Englewood, Florida for the missing man, his 13- and 15- year old sons, and his 17- year- old daughter. According to the St. Petersburg sector of the Coast Guard, a conceed family member had reported that the missing family was last heard from on Sunday moing when they left Sarasota at 7 a.m. to get repairs done on the boat at Fort Myers. The man had called his brother at about 3 p.m. on the same day to tell him that they were offshore in Englewood.

 

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of the family is advised to contact the Coast Guard.
