Schools Scramble to Make Up Missed Days
ATLANTA - Many Georgia school districts have canceled classes for the fourth straight day. Some school districts have used up their snow days and are trying to figure out how to make them up.
Ice covered roads over the last four days have forced some school districts to cancel classes since the roads are dangerous for school buses.
Sloan Roach of Gwinnet County Schools says they had three snow days on their calendar. Those days have been used up.
She says to make up other school days, the superintendent and district leaders will study the situation and determine what to do about them.
She says they are looking at other options since the school system has only 180 days of school.
It is not known if schools will be open Friday. And Monday is a holiday. It is hoped all will be back to normal for students and school officials Tuesday.
