School Bus Crashes With Tractor-Trailer Injures 6 People
BALLGROUND, Ga. - A crash involving a school bus and tractor trailer truck Tuesday moing injured six people, including four students.
Cherokee County authorities say the wreck happened Tuesday at around 7:50 a.m. on Highway 369 at Lovelace Lane. According to FOX 5's Marc Teichner, the bus was apparently making a left tu from Lovelace Lane onto Highway 369 when the truck -- carrying a load of garbage -- struck the school bus. The truck flipped on its side and went down an embankment.
The truck driver -- a 43-year old male -- was entrapped for a short time. He was removed from the truck. The truck driver and the school bus driver -- a 52-year old female -- were transported to North Fulton Hospital with minor injuries.

Six students were on the bus. Police say four of the students -- two boys and two girls, ages 5-12 -- were transported to Northside Cherokee Hospital for evaluation. Their injuries appeared to be minor.
Police say the school bus was on its way to Free Home Elementary School in Canton when the accident occurred.
Authorities say Highway 369 will be shut down for some time. The accident is being investigated by the Georgia State Patrol.
