Police charged a Savannah teen with three counts of vehicular homicide in a crash that killed three people in early September.

Rachel Pauline Conley, 17,  who surrendered herself to authorities on Friday was also charged with improper passing and failure to use due care. Effingham County Sheriff's Sgt. Don White says the girl has been released on $38,700 bond.

Georgia State Patrol investigators have said the girl was trying to pass a pickup truck and tried retuing to her lane when she saw an oncoming vehicle. Officials say the girl's car hit the truck, which spun and hit an oncoming SUV. The driver of the truck and two women in the SUV died.
