Sandy Springs doctor Kelly Thrasher arrested for practicing without license

t on bond Tuesday after being arrested and charged with practicing medicine without a license.

Sandy Springs police said 41-year-old Kelly Thrasher's license was suspended in 2012 following two sexual assault charges.

In November 2012, authorities said he injected a woman with a substance rendering her unconscious, and then having sex with her.

In January, 2013, another complaint was filed against Thrasher by the father of a girl who said Thrasher molested her during a sleepover at the Thrasher's home in 2012.

In late 2013, Sandy Springs police received several calls stating Thrasher had retued to his office and having contact with patients, although he was prohibited from doing so per the suspension.

Sandy Springs detectives notified the Fulton County District Attoey's Office and the Georgia State Licensing Board of the allegations.

On Jan. 17, an investigator with the medical board obtained a warrant for Thrasher for practicing medicine without a license. Sandy Springs detectives picked him up at his home.
