Krystal Brown, 30, and her baby son Mister Brown, from Russell County, Georgia, were at Chattahoochee River on Sunday when her three-year-old son Davie wandered into the water.

When she saw her son, Krystal waded in after him but all three pulled under the water by the strong currents.

Columbus Fire Marshall Ricky Shores told WTVM about the rescue attempt of the mother and children.

'The divers were able to locate the victims within two minutes of hitting the water so we were very fortunate in that respect however, they were underwater for approximately 30 minutes,' he said.
