Rental car employee Monique Marlowe fatally shot in Gwinnett
Police are searching for witnesses who may have seen the fatal shooting of a rental car employee near Duluth.
Authorities said the victim, Monique Marlowe, was shot Friday while attending to a vehicle at the back of a Hertz Rent-a-Car facility near the Gwinnett County Transit Center.
Police Sgt. Rich Long said the victim told officers that she was shot by a man wearing a blue shirt. She later died at a hospital.
Long told FOX 5 News that the shooting happened within sight of the transit station. He said authorities are hoping to speak with witnesses who may have seen suspicious activity.
