Remains Found in Texas May Be Missing DeKalb Musician Steven Marchi

Friends say Atlanta musician and massage therapist Steven Marchi left the house he shares with a roommate on August 12 and hasn't been seen or heard from since.

Investigators in Texas believe the remains found could be those of the 43-year-old Dekalb musician who disappeared in August.

Steven Marchi, a Dekalb County massage therapist and musician, who had just finished his first album, was preparing to promote it on the road. Then on August 12, when he seemingly vanished.

Last month there was a possible break in the case. Marchi's vehicle was impounded from a Walmart parking lot in Gainesville, Texas.

And now, according to published reports, remains have been discovered near the lot where his vehicle was found. Investigators believe the remains could be that of Marchi.

Friends and family are now waiting for DNA analysis results for positive identification. It's unclear how long that may take
