Rapper Lil Wayne to retire after next album

Rapper Lil Wayne  said that he will be retiring from rapping after his album, "Tha Carter V" is released.

His next album is, 'I Am Not a Human Being II" which is his 10th album and he has not said when the last album, "Tha Carter V" will be released but guarantees it is his final.

He says that after rapping since he was 8 years old, 20 years is plenty for him.

"I know y'all want me around for a little bit, [but] Tha Carter V is my last album, I've been rapping since I was 8 years old; I'm 30 now. That's a long time, and I like to do so many more things, and when I like to do something, I end up loving to do it real quick. And I love to do something, I'm fully focused on it and it only, and music sometimes is not that 'it.'" He told MTV.

He had talked about retiring after his previous album last year when speaking to XXL magazine;

"I'm bowing out still on top, I'ma make y'all want me when I retire. I'ma make y'all be like, 'Nooo!' I ain't leaving out this b*tch when y'all be like, 'Yeah, it's about time, dawg.' Carter IV might be my last one. I'ma make y'all be like, 'F*ck!' Yeah, n*gga, I'm gone."

He does have plans after he retires, he told Sway;

“I’d be a skater/sports analyst, My day job will probably be sports analyst and I’ll skate all night instead of being in the studio all night.”

He has already built a skate park in his hometown of New Orleans, has his own skateboard clothing line TRUKFIT and said and he loves skating.

“Skating is a world, it’s a world... it’s a life, it’s a world, it’s, it’s own and I didn’t know that, I thought it was four wheels and piece of wood. I didn’t know that. Now I know it’s a world and I just wanna be vital in that world.”

He also says that he has a sports show in plans with singer Nelly, nothing official yet;

“We don’t have a station, we’re just doin’ it ourselves right now.”

I Am Not A Human Being II is scheduled to be released February 19th, 2013 and Lil Wayne plans on a world wide tour right after the album is released.
