WHILE most stars were posting photos of themselves in the make up chair getting primped and preened for yesterday’s Golden Globes, Lena Dunham was showing off her nipple pasties.

The Girls star’s bare chest made a cameo on Instagram courtesy of the show’s executive producer Jennifer Konner.

#FREETHENIPPLE cover,” Konner wrote with the picture she snapped before the Golden Globe Awards.

The nip covers even retued later in the evening from undeeath her red Zac Posen gown, appearing stuck on the 28-year-old’s face.

“Another great use for nipple covers!” Konner wrote.

While the stunt may have been all in the name of fun, one can’t help but think Dunham was drumming up a little publicity for the premiere of her fourth season of Girls, which aired the same night as the Globes.

The actress also revealed on the red carpet that she had deleted the Twitter app from her phone for the sake of her “emotional health”.

“People threaten my life and tell me what a cow I am,” she said, before adding that she still does use the platform “occasionally”.

“It’s just not the same codependence Twitter and I once shared.”
