Jeremih is arrested following claims a member of his entourage tried forcing open the door to an aircraft's boarding ramp.

R&B star Jeremih has been charged for allegedly attempting to board a plane as it prepared for take-off.

The Don't Tell 'Em singer was arrested following claims a member of his entourage tried to force open the door to the aircraft's boarding ramp.

It was claimed this was an attempt to get the 27-year-old star on board the Phoenix-bound flight, after he missed the final call.

The incident is alleged to have happened at Newark Inteational Airport on Friday.

The singer had performed in New York the night before, and was reportedly en route to Fresno, Califoia, to play in a concert which he failed to make following his arrest.

Jeremih, who police identified as Jeremy Felton, was charged together with another man with disorderly conduct and obstruction of administration of law.

A third person was charged with defiant trespass for allegedly opening the door.

A spokesman for Port Authority police said all three men were released and ordered to appear before a judge.

There was no immediate comment from Jeremih's label, Def Jam.
