Powder Springs police investigate double homicide: Toddler found in car with parents
Police say they made a shocking discovery inside of car in Powder Springs: A man dead with multiple gunshot wounds, a woman who had suffered at least one gunshot wound and their 2-year-old child who was unharmed.
The car was found around 2 a.m. in a ditch near 3790 Parks Drive. The headlights were still on as officers arrived on scene.
The 24-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene, and the 22-year-old woman was taken to a hospital where she later died.
The 2-year-old girl was unharmed and is currently in Division of Family and Children Services custody. Police confirm the toddler is the child of the couple.
Authorities blocked the area as investigators searched for evidence.
Investigators have not yet released the names of the victims or said whether they are searching for any suspects
