Police seek Fairburn man Jerome Pope accused of child molestation

Police in Fairbu are asking the public's help in tracking down a man accused of child molestation.

According to Fairbu police, 40-year-old Jerome Pope has been charged with aggravated child molestation and several other sex-related charges stemming from an encounter with a juvenile female. They say Pope is a friend of the girl's family.

Pope may be in Meriwether or Rockdale County, say police.

Police ask anyone with information on Pope to call them at 770-964-1441.
