Police named a suspect in a shooting that left a man dead at a nightclub in south Fulton County early Monday.

The shooting happened shortly after 4 a.m. at Rocafella’s on Old National Highway.

An argument that started inside the club escalated in the club’s parking lot and gunfire erupted, Fulton County police spokeswoman Melissa Parker said. She said the victim was shot in the head.

Detectives said they are looking for Johnny Jackson III, 43, who was last seen wearing a white shirt and blue jeans. Police said Jackson may be driving a 2004 Chevrolet Avalance that is black and purple with Georgia tag JJ3RD.

Police said the arrest of a man they escorted out of the club in handcuffs to a police car was not related to the shooting.
