Police arrested a Palmetto man because they say he gave a 15-year-old girl drugs in exchange for sex.

The Palmetto Police Department arrested Carl Lingham Jr. after they received a tip that he supplied the girl with cocaine, marijuana and ”molly. Investigators say they found several prescription medications in Lingham's home.

Police say Lingham, a convicted felon, had a large amount of marijuana, powder cocaine, crack cocaine, and methamphetamine as well as a firearm when he was arrested at a Union City hotel.

Lingham faces a half dozen charges include statutory rape, child molestation and drug possession, according to authorities.
