Police Name Ahamad R. Gill Suspect In Pro Wrestler Chris Long's Shooting
DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. -- DeKalb County police named a suspect Tuesday afteoon in the shooting that killed a professional wrestler moonlighting as a bouncer at a strip club.
Detectives told GA Daily News they had arrest warrants for Ahamad R. Gill, 31. Gill faced multiple charges, including homicide and aggravated assault, for the Nov. 21 shooting.
Police said Long was shot while protecting a pair of women at Shooter Alley on Buford Highway.
Witnesses told Channel 2 a few customers got out of hand at the club, and Long ejected them from the business. Police said the group, including Gill, retued to the club and opened fire.
Long, who goes by the nickname Solid, was a pro wrestler who worked security at the club to ea extra money for his family, a friend said.
