Police Meet with Georgia Tech Students After Attacks
Some students are on edge Wednesday morning after three recent attacks on women on the Georgia Tech campus

Some students are on edge Wednesday after three recent attacks on women on the Georgia Tech campus. And for the next three days Tech police officers will be available to students to discuss the attacks.

According to Georgia Tech police, officers will also be available along Tech Walk on October 5, 6 and 7, between 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., to answer any questions or conces that students may have.

Georgia Tech police say they are also stepping up patrols with the help of the Georgia State Patrol and Atlanta police.

"Walking with friends or just being careful about who's around me or having my cell phone with me," said Ga. Tech Sarah Ortman.

Students around the Georgia Tech campus are taking those precautions after three attacks on women in just the past week.

The most recent incident happened just a day ago on McMillan Street at Tuer Place where a woman was approached from behind by a stranger who grabbed her around the waist.

He man fled after the victim hit him.

"I think it's very scary especially since it happened just outside of my dorm. And I would not go walking around at night and now I don't feel it would be safe anymore," said Ortman.

The incident comes after two attacks on women Saturday -- one where a woman was pushed against a wall near wesley foundation by a man who tried to disrobe her . Later that day -- another woman says her thigh was grabbed by a man in a bearhug near Tech Walkway.

Each suspect got away and their descriptions vary in race with the only commonality being the suspect being of medium build. The victims were unharmed and other students have questions about their safety.

"Why is this happening? What are you trying to do because obviously its not working," said Ga. Tech student Courtney Pettiford.

Police say they are not sure if the attacks are connected. They say the victims in the attacks have been able to provide little information. The attacks remain under investigation.
