Police: Loaded gun brought to brawl at Stone Mountain High School

Police are trying to determine how a loaded gun ended up at a DeKalb County high school.

Police found the gun after breaking up a brawl at Stone Mountain High School Tuesday afteoon.

The fight took place in a school parking lot. Cellphone video of the brawl shows a student picking up another and slamming him backward into a parked school bus as other students watched.

In another video, you can see a group of young men fighting.

Witnesses said a gun dropped out of the pocket of one of the participants in the fight.

”Anything can happen. Anybody can get hurt, especially with loaded weapons at school. There’s no reason for them to bring loaded weapons to school anyway. That’s really disturbing, parent Audrey Walker said.

Police arrested two people, one of whom is the 20-year-old sibling of someone involved in the fight.

Police said they are still trying to track down students who ran away when officers arrived to ask them questions about the fight.
