ATLANTA -- A lawyer told police that he was struck in the head and repeatedly kicked by someone whom he identified as his client.

It happened just before 7 p.m. Monday in the 100 block of Spring Street.

The man told police that he was getting into his vehicle when he was approached from behind. The perpetrator struck the man in the back of the head, then kicked and struck him repeatedly when he fell to the ground, police said.

The victim, identified as 39-year-old Rand Csehy of the Csehy Law Group, was taken to Atlanta Medical Center in stable condition, police said.

The attacker fled on foot.
