Police investigate death of local Georgia Southern student Brooke Edwards
Georgia Southe University says the campus is mouing the death of an 18-year-old student from Forsyth County.
Brooke Edwards, of Cumming, was found unresponsive at her off-campus apartment on Sept. 12 and later pronounced dead.
The university said Edwards was a sophomore biology student.
The Statesboro Police Department says it is investigating the death and is awaiting autopsy results from the GBI.
