DeKalb County police said they responded toa call of shots fired inside a home on Weatherboune Place around 12:40 a.m. Responding officers found two people dead, both victims of gunshot wounds.

DeKalb County Police Lt. Mark Lavigne said based on the preliminary investigation "All appearances at this stage are indicating this is going to be a murder-suicide,"

Investigators think the husband shot his wife before tuing the gun on himself.

The wife's mother was also injured in the shooting. Police said a bullet struck her in the foot. The mother was rushed to a local hospital in stable condition.

The couple's two children, aged 12 and 14, were downstairs, when the shots were fired.  Detectives don't think the kids witnessed what happened.
