Police: Ga. Officer Larry Leon Moore, Charged With Assault

MARSHALLVILLE, Ga. - A Marshallville police officer has been charged with aggravated assault after authorities say he shot at one of his adult sons during an argument.

Police said Monday that 51-year-old Larry Leon Moore has also been charged with reckless conduct and other charges for the Sunday night incident. Police say Moore fired at his son, 31-year-old Shundre Moore, as he and his brother, Tavoris Moore, argued with their father.

Neither man was injured.

Shundre Moore has been charged with public drunkenness, disorderly conduct and criminal trespass after police say he kicked over the Christmas decorations in his father's front yard.

Larry Moore is being held without bond in the Houston County jail.

Marshallville police officials could not be reached for comment Monday.
