Police: Clayton County Sheriff Victor Hill shoots woman inside model home
Police investigate shooting involving Clayton Sheriff

Gwinnett police say Clayton County Sheriff Victor Hill shot a woman inside a Lawrenceville model home and is refusing to cooperate with the investigation. 

Authorities say the shooting happened along Britt Trail Drive around 7:00 p.m. Sunday.

According to police, Hill left without answering any of their questions. 

Neighbors tell reporters the woman worked for the subdivision. Police say Sheriff Hill knew her, but they won't say how or what he was doing inside the model home. 

The shooting took place when hill was off duty. 

The woman's condition is unknown at this time. She was struck in the side.

Police are calling the shooting accidental. Investigators say two other people were inside the home when the gun fire rang out.
