Police Chase Ends with Car Burning Up

ATLANTA - A car involved in a chase with police went up in flames late Monday moing.

According to Cobb County police, Cobb County units initiated the chase in Smya. Units of the Georgia State Patrol and the Atlanta Police Department were soon involved in the chase. The vehicle they were chasing was reportedly stolen.

The chase ended when the car burst into flames near the Fulton County Jail at Donald Lee Hollowell Parkway and Lowry Street.

Cobb Police say they have one person in custody and that there were no injuries.
