Police arrest Jennifer Smith in the stabbing death of Chelsea Jones

Gwinnett County authorities say a late-night fight between two women ended with one being stabbed to death and the other charged with her murder

Lawrenceville police said Chelsea Rebecca Jones, 28, was found bleeding and unconscious on Hurricane Shoals Road about 4 a.m. Saturday after she was stabbed in the upper leg or groin area.

Police said she was taken to Gwinnett Medical Center, where she later died.

Police determined that six young women had been out clubbing and were retuing home. Police said an argument ensued and one of the women, 27-year-old Jennifer Smith of Lawrenceville, stabbed Jones with a knife.

Smith is charged with felony murder and aggravated assault. She is being held without bond at the Gwinnett County Jail.
