Police arrest Andre Gay in murder of man, pregnant girlfriend
Andre Gay is charged with the murder and kidnapping of a pregnant woman and her boyfriend.

An arrest has been made in the kidnapping and execution-style slaying of a man and his pregnant girlfriend.

Andre Gay is behind bars and charged with kidnapping and murdering Jeronta Brown and Briana Brooks.

The couple was kidnapped and held for $150,000 ransom in August. When the kidnappers did not get their money, they handcuffed Brown and Brooks, shot them and left them on the side of the road.

Doctors were able to save Brooks' child before she died several days after the shooting.

Police say Briana Brooks, 21, and Jeronta Brown, 24, were tied up and left on the side of Ridge Avenue.

Channel 2's Ryan Youn reported that Gay was charged and convicted of murdering a pregnant woman and a 16-month old child 23 years ago. He has been out of jail for eight months.

Police are still searching for a second suspect.
