West Point Police have arrested 38-year-old Gabriel Raines, a worker at the Kia Motors in West Point.

Investigators say Raines showed up to work on Tuesday afteoon and shot a fellow employee, Gary Swanson. The victim was airlifted to a hospital in Columbus where he underwent emergency surgery. Investigators say one shot was fired, hitting the victim in the leg. Workers were evacuated from the plant after the shooting happened. Many were then sent home after the scene was cleared. Police say Raines and Swanson worked together in the plant's assembly area.

Raines has been charged with aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony. Police say Swanson is in stable condition after surgery.
