Police: 71-Year-Old Florida Man Charles Wesley Confessed To Graffiti Spree

DUNEDIN, Fla. -- A 71-year-old Florida man is accused of a five-year-long graffiti spree.

The Pinellas County Sheriff's Department said a witness caught Charles Ignatius Wesley in the act Sunday moing in Dunedin.

Deputies found Wesley and said he confessed to tagging more than one hundreds poles over the past five years.

Wesley reportedly tagged the poles with the letters "SLA," which he said stands for a political party called Sane Liberated Americans. Deputies said he then claimed to be the head of that political party.

Deputies talked to neigbors who said Wesley was harmless.

Wesley faces criminal mischief charges.
