8 charged in Sandy Springs human trafficking sting operation

SANDY SPRINGS, Ga. — Eight people were arrested during a two-day human trafficking enforcement operation in Sandy Springs, police announced Friday.

The initiative, dubbed Operation Sandy Springs Guardian, was led by the Sandy Springs Police Department with assistance from the Dunwoody Police Department. Investigators conducted undercover operations over two evenings, targeting individuals attempting to solicit sexual acts.

Authorities said the effort resulted in eight arrests. Each suspect was charged with solicitation for an illicit sexual act.

Those arrested were identified as:

  • Brenden Michael Reiner Boyd, of Columbus, Georgia
  • Bailey Garrison Reed, of Oakwood, GA
  • Edwin Hernandez-Aguilar, of Mableton, Georgia
  • Edwin Crisostomo Reyes, of Norcross, Georgia
  • Suhuruth Reddy Chada, of Marietta, Georgia
  • Edgar Vazquez Cruz, of Sandy Springs, Georgia
  • Cyrus Zeerak, of Sandy Springs, Georgia
  • David Luna, of Norcross, Georgia

Police did not release additional details about the individual circumstances leading to each arrest.

In a statement, the Sandy Springs Police Department said operations like this are part of an ongoing commitment to disrupt human trafficking and related crimes.

“The Sandy Springs Police Department remains committed to proactive enforcement efforts aimed at combating human trafficking and keeping our community safe,” the department said.
