ATLANTA - There is more bad news Friday about jobs in the metro area.

Piedmont Healthcare is slashing its workforce by 5 percent. That is nearly 450 jobs.

Hospital administrators say they made the cuts to trim $68 million from the budget.

Piedmont Healthcare includes hospitals in Atlanta, Fayetteville, Newnan, and Jasper, as well as the Piedmont Heart Institute and Piedmont Physicians Group
