Pharmacy tech Trishanne Willamson, husband face drug distribution charges

State agents raided the Acworth home of a pharmacy technician and her husband.

Agents said the couple was taking pain pills from a local CVS store and selling them on the streets.

Christy Dickhaus said the agents at first came to her house, then raided the neighbors'.

Investigators arrested Trishanne and Jeremy Williamson. Both are charged with multiple counts involving drug distribution. Agents believe the pair made a lucrative profit.

Neighbors had wondered about the constant traffic at the couple's North Cobb Parkway home.

"Cars going in and out it; very strange," Dickhaus said.

An arrest warrant obtained by GA Daily News shows Trishanne Williamson worked as a pharmacy technician at an Acworth CVS on Baker Road.

The warrant said over several months, Trishanne Willamson stole approximately 500 percocet pills, 500 oxycodone pills, 400 hydrocodone, 100 Xanax and 15 oxycontin pills, and later admitted selling to individuals for profit.

The warrants said Jeremy Williamson kept the cash and notes about selling the pills.

Investigators said many of the thefts were captured by CVS store cameras.

The arrest comes just days after a news conference about the growing problem with prescription drug abuse. The state Attoey General Sam Olens said new legislation targeting pill mills was pushing the suppliers underground.

"Too many of our youth die due to prescription abuse," Olens said. "We actually lose more folks in this country to prescription drug abuse than automobile collisions, so it's not something we talk enough about, but it's a huge problem."

The Williamsons are being held at Cobb County jail.
