Person of Interest in Buckhead Murder Case

Atlanta police have identified a person of interest in the murder of a woman earlier this month in Buckhead.

Police say Steven Smith was the only person in the Roswell Road Apartment July 14 that has not come forward to provide a statement.

Investigators say he has ignored numerous attempts by police to contact him.

Police say Zaquavia Kingsberry’s body was found in the fourth-floor apartment at the Gramercy complex on Roswell Road. She had been shot several times in the head.

Police say Kingsberry was found by her boyfriend. She was visiting from North Carolina.

No arrests have been made in the case.

Police ask that if anyone has any information on the case or Smith's whereabouts, that they call the Atlanta Police Homicide Unit at 404-546-4235.
