PAULDING COUNTY, Ga. -- Authorities are investigating after a man was shot and killed while riding his motorcycle in Paulding County early Friday morning.

Ronald Chadwick Morgan, 31, a resident of Paulding County was found shot to death in a ditch around 4 a.m. by Sheriff's deputies in the 1600 block of Holly Springs Road in Rockmart.

Based on a preliminary investigation, authorities believe that Morgan had been shot while riding his motorcycle in a targeted attack. As such, they don't believe there is a person or group targeting random people in the area.

Investigators said they don't know why Morgan was shot and need help finding the person behind the shooting. Anyone with information should call the Paulding County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigations Division at 770-443-3015.
