Orange Is the New Black star Taryn Manning arrested for threatening alleged stalker

TARYN Manning, who plays Pennsatucky in the Netflix prison drama Orange in the New Black, has been arrested for violating a restraining order and threatening her accused stalker.

TMZ reports the 36-year-old actress had been ordered to stay away from Jeanine Heller, a former friend, after the two ended up in court and a judge issued a mutual domestic restraining order.

Back in September, Heller was arrested for violating the protection order when she called and emailed the OITNB star. Now, police have confirmed Manning was arrested Wednesday afteoon in Manhattan, but the District Attoey has already “declined to prosecute” the star.

Prior to her arrest, Manning had allegedly been sending Heller threatening texts in violation of another restraining order that was put in place to protect Heller.

Court documents obtained by TMZ said the messages included, “I will kill you, b*tch,” “Go f*ck yourself and die,” and “What’s taking so long? Shouldn’t you be dead by now?”

Manning’s lawyer has released the following statement:

“The District Attoey declined to prosecute Ms. Manning and the arrest was voided. The allegation was false. It is unfortunate that additional false allegations by an individual convicted of violating orders of protection intended to protect Ms. Manning are facilitated by purported news organizations to perpetuate the harassment of Ms. Manning exponentially.”

Manning has also tweeted about the incident.
