Officer shot in Marietta, 2 suspects in custody

COBB COUNTY, Ga. - Police are investigating a shooting that injured an officer in Marietta.           

What we've leaed about that officer's condition and what led up to the shooting, on Channel 2 Action News Sunday AM. 

Marietta police confirm an officer who was shot now has non-life-threatening injuries while responding to The Gallery Apartments for suspects breaking into cars on the 700 block of Franklin Gateway.

Police tell Channel 2's Steve Gehlbach they have two suspects in custody.

"I hear, 'Get on the ground, get on the ground, don’t move,' witness Sergio Heandez said. ”And I popped my head up and I start hearing gunshots so I drop and crouch down to take cover behind my car and I stayed that way till the gunshots stopped.
