Obama forgets about open mic, asks Putin for space
President Obama seems pretty confident about winning the upcoming election, based on some remarks he let slip today. Directly following a meeting between Obama and current Russian President Dmitry Medvedev, an open mic caught Obama asking for \"space\" to deal with missile defense. \"After my election, I have more flexibility,\" Obama said.
The intended-to-be private comment could put some, well, space between Obama and voters who would prefer he finishes his first term before postponing things to his second. Next time, maybe he should just pass a note to Putin: 'Can u give me some space? Check yes or no.'
