NWS confirms EF-1 tornado hit Cherokee County

 

An EF-1 toado struck Cherokee County during Thursday night's round of severe storms, the National Weather Service confirmed just before noon Friday.

The EF-1 classification means the toado had wind speeds between 86 and 110 mph.

FOX5 Storm Team Meteorologist Steve Milone says more surveys are being done in Cobb and Fulton counties Friday afteoon.
