'NRA: Practice Range' app released after Newtown shooting
NRA releases 'ages 4 and up' shooting game with coffin-shaped targets

What does the world need a month after a gun massacre at a grade school? If you ask the NRA, we need an exciting game to help improve our shooting skills, complete with creepy, coffin-shaped targets.

The powerful gun lobby is facing sharp criticism today after releasing an iOS app called "NRA Practice Range" offering "fun challenges" to instill safe gun ownership, including the option to  unlock an MK11 sniper rifle for $0.99.

People are outraged about the game's post-Sandy Hook timing, the group's seeming hypocrisy after blaming video games for the massacre, and the fact that the app is recommended for "ages 4 and up." [Source]
