Police in Cobb County, Georgia, said that a mother was found shot to death inside her home on Thursday.

Cobb County police arrived at the home of 35- year- old Jenna Wall, of Powder Springs, at about 11:30 a.m. to find the woman dead from an apparent gunshot wound.

Her two children, ages 6 and 8, were reportedly in the house at the time that the shooting incident occurred.

Police say Jenna Wall, pictured, was killed by her former mother-in-law

Police spokesman Sgt. Dana Pierce said that the children were not injured during the shooting and were taken to the Cobb County Police Department’s Crimes against Children Unit.

Investigators questioned 63- year- old Elizabeth Betsy Wall, of Powder Springs, and another adult who were inside the home at the time of the shooting.

Elizabeth Wall, who is the mother-in-law of the victim, was later charged in connection to Jenna Wall’s death. They describe the incident as domestic in nature and contained within the home. Elizabeth Wall was taken to the Cobb County Adult Detention Center on felony murder, aggravated assault, cruelty to children and weapons charges. She will remain in custody without bond.
