The City of Morrow's recently swo-in police chief is now without a job.

Interim City Manager Sylvia Redic confirmed to reporters that police chief Melvin Douglas, Jr. was terminated Thursday moing.

Douglas started the job on Aug. 28, 2014 and was still under a probationary period.

Redic did not give a reason as to why Douglas was let go.

The city has already restarted the hiring process. In the meantime, Capt. Greg Tatroe will serve as Interim Police Chief.
